MESOTHERAPY

Mesotherapy, also known as skin prick therapy, is a procedure that involves delivering nutrients such as vitamins, enzymes, growth factors, antioxidants, or hormones directly into your skin using needles. The term "meso" refers to the middle layer of the skin, known as the mesoderm, where these nutrients are targeted during the therapy. Mesotherapy can effectively treat various skin conditions.
Which issues does Mesotherapy address?

Following skin and hair conditions are addressed by mesotherapy:

  • Skin rejuvenation and brightening
  • Skin tightening
  • Skin hydration
  • Pigmentation
  • Cellulite reduction
  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Alopecia
How does Mesotherapy work?

Mesotherapy delivers a highly concentrated dose of nutrients directly to the treatment site, making it exceptionally effective. These nutrients not only nourish, hydrate, and rejuvenate the skin but also stimulate collagen production, resulting in skin tightening. When mesotherapy is applied to the scalp, it improves blood circulation and supplies essential nutrients, promoting hair growth. In terms of reducing cellulite, enzymes injected into the targeted area help break down fat, which is then easily drained through the lymphatic channels, earning it the nickname "Fat-melting injection."

What can I expect during the procedure?

First, your skin will be cleansed, and a topical anaesthetic cream will be applied. Your doctor will then use a needle or microneedles to inject the nutrients into the targeted area as needed. Multiple injections may be administered at different depths. You may experience a mild pricking sensation during the procedure, which is usually manageable.

What happens after the procedure?

After the procedure, a soothing serum will be applied to your skin, followed by sunscreen. You might feel mild pain, redness, and discomfort, but these should subside within a few hours. You can resume your daily activities on the same day. Avoid aggressive rubbing or movement of the treated area, as well as strenuous exercise and prolonged sun exposure for the next 24 hours.

What is the post care regime?
  • Post procedure, take care not to rub of scratch the treated area.
  • Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen prescribed by your doctor regularly.
  • As it requires multiple sessions, regular follow-up visits are required.
Are there any risks involved in the procedure?

As with every procedure, some risks involved are following:

  • Redness and swelling of skin.
  • Itching
  • Bruising
  • Undesirable pigmentation
  • Allergies
