THREAD LIFTING

What is Threadlift treatment?

A Threadlift is a non-surgical procedure designed to improve facial contours, tighten, and lift sagging skin. It utilizes 100% PDO (Polydioxanone) threads, a biocompatible material commonly used in medical suturing. Once inserted, these threads create three effects in the skin:

  • Instant Skin Lifting through mechanical effects.
  • Cellular Renewal by stimulating collagen and neovascularization, enhancing skin texture, reducing fine lines, and improving elasticity.
  • Skin Tightening by contracting fat tissue.
What does the treatment entail?

A PDO Thread Lift is a minimally invasive procedure that begins with the injection of a local anesthetic into the treatment area. Next, a PDO or Cog thread is inserted into the skin using a cannula. The duration of the procedure typically ranges from 45 to 60 minutes, depending on the specific treatment needed. Once in place, the threads secure and lift the skin upward. Any excess threads are trimmed. Approximately six months post-procedure, the PDO threads are absorbed by the body. The lifted facial contours typically persist for an additional 3-6 months due to cellular rejuvenation effects. This process stimulates skin cells to generate new collagen and blood vessels, enhancing skin microcirculation. Concurrently, the PDO threads contract fat tissue, resulting in skin tightening and facial slimming.

Is there any pain or downtime involved?

Since a local anesthetic is administered before the procedure, most patients do not experience pain, although there may be slight discomfort during the thread insertion. You may notice mild swelling or redness after the procedure.

Do I need to take any precautions after the procedure?

After the procedure, it's important to avoid vigorous rubbing of your face for at least a week. Sleeping on your back is recommended to reduce swelling and prevent pressure on the face that could lead to thread misalignment. Additionally, refrain from procedures that involve excessive mouth opening, such as dental treatments, for at least two weeks.

Which areas are treatable with a Threadlift?
  • Forehead/Brow Lifting
  • Upper and lower cheeks
  • Nasolabial folds
  • Jawline
  • Neck
  • Marionette lines/Droopy Smile
  • Abdominal skin laxity
How soon will I see results?

Following the procedure, you will notice an immediate lifting of your skin. This lifting effect continues to improve over time and reaches its peak about six months after the procedure, as collagen forms around the threads.
